These Terms of Service govern your use of the Child Custody Resolutions website, online courses, and counseling services. By accessing or purchasing any service, you agree to these terms.
If you have questions about these terms, send us a message via the contact form. We would rather answer a question than have terms that create uncertainty.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing this website or purchasing any course or counseling service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
These terms apply to: this website (childcustodyresolutions.com), all online courses delivered through Thinkific, and counseling services provided by Suzanne Dircks, M.A., LMHC.
2. Services provided
Child Custody Resolutions provides:
- Online co-parenting and parenting education courses — Self-paced, court-accepted courses that deliver a certificate of completion. Courses are delivered through our course platform.
- Counseling services — Individual and co-parenting counseling provided by Suzanne Dircks, M.A., LMHC, licensed in Washington State.
Our services are intended for adults who are parents, guardians, or professionals involved in family court proceedings, or who are voluntarily seeking co-parenting education or counseling.
3. Courses and certificates
Course access: Access is granted upon receipt of payment. After enrolling, you will receive login credentials for your course. Course content is self-paced and available 24/7.
Completion: All course modules must be completed to receive a certificate. Your progress is saved automatically. There is no expiration on course access after enrollment.
Certificates: Your certificate of completion is generated after completing the final course module and emailed to the address associated with your enrollment. Certificates include your name, the course name, completion date, certificate number, and the credentials and signature of Suzanne Dircks, M.A., LMHC.
Replacement certificates: If you do not receive the certificate email or need a replacement copy, contact us at the contact form. We can look up your certificate by name, email address, course, completion date, or certificate number.
4. Court-acceptance guarantee
Our certificates have been accepted by courts in all 50 states and Washington D.C. If your court declines to accept a certificate from Child Custody Resolutions, contact us at the contact form and we will refund you in full — regardless of when you completed the course or how much you completed. This guarantee is unconditional.
We cannot guarantee outcomes in your specific legal proceeding. The certificate documents completion of an educational program. Your attorney is responsible for how it is presented to the court.
5. Refund policy
Standard refund period: You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 25% of the course content.
Court acceptance guarantee: If your court declines to accept this certificate, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of completion status or time elapsed since purchase (see Section 4).
Counseling cancellations: Counseling session fees are due at the time of service and are non-refundable after a session has occurred. Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation fee.

6. Counseling services
Counseling services are provided by Suzanne Dircks, M.A., LMHC — a licensed mental health counselor licensed by the Washington State Department of Health (License No. LH60561574).
These services do not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or forensic evaluation. For legal matters related to your custody case, consult a licensed attorney.
Confidentiality: Counseling sessions are confidential under applicable professional and legal standards. Standard exceptions apply: Suzanne Dircks is a mandated reporter and is required by law to report when there is an imminent risk of harm to you or others. In contested custody proceedings, discuss privilege protections with your attorney.
Jurisdiction: In-person counseling is available in Tacoma, WA. Telehealth (Zoom) is available throughout Washington State. Course enrollment is available nationwide.
Payment: Fees are due at the time of service. Suzanne Dircks is an out-of-network provider. A superbill will be provided upon request for potential insurance reimbursement.
7. Intellectual property
All course content, written materials, assessments, and certificates are the intellectual property of Suzanne Dircks and Child Custody Resolutions. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Course access is licensed to you individually. You may not share, transfer, or resell your course access.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Child Custody Resolutions is not liable for:
- Outcomes in your custody case or family court proceeding
- Decisions made by any court, judge, mediator, or attorney
- Technical service interruptions beyond our control
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in question.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Pierce County, Washington.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
